Volunteer

The Davis Sprint Triathlon is made possible through the contribution of its awesome volunteers. You can cheer on your racing friend or family member while working hard alongside them.

Positions

1) Course Set Up

Mark bike and run courses. Set up pool, transition area and aid stations.

• Saturday, March 10^th 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Slot 1)
• Saturday, March 10^th 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Slot 2)
• Sunday, March 11^th 4:00 AM – 6:00 AM (Slot 3)

2) Packet Pickup

Volunteers will assist with distribution of race numbers, t-shirts and race packages.

• Saturday, March 10^th 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM (Slot 4)
• Saturday, March 10^th 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Slot 5)
• Sunday March 11^th 5:30 AM – 7:00 AM (Late packet pickup) (Slot 6)

3) Transition Area

Assist with body markings, direct athletes to their wave starts and crowd control.

• Sunday, March 11^th 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Slot 7)
• Sunday, March 11^th 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Slot 8) 

4) Course Marshaling

Direct athletes and traffic on the bike and run course. And most importantly, cheer them on!

• Sunday, March 11^th 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Slot 10)

5) Aid Stations

Serve water and sports drink to athletes and give words of encouragement

• Sunday, March 11^th 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Slot 11)
• Sunday, March 11^th 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Slot 12)

 6) Timing/Finish Line

Assist with timing racers and recording results. Assist with the post-race food table.

• Sunday, March 11^th 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Slot 13)
• Sunday, March 11^th 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM (Slot 14)

Volunteers will need to check-in at the volunteer table before their shift. You will receive a very cool shirt and complimentary breakfast to fuel you for the day. Please try and arrive 15 minutes early. We’ll contact you by email to update you on the details of your volunteer assignment.

Positions will be filled on a rolling basis. So grab your friends, mom, dad, neighbor and have a blast volunteering at the Davis Sprint Triathlon. Thanks for your help!
